Stanford Binet V
The Stanford Binet V is used as an entrance assessment for Round 1 of admissions into Hunter College Elementary School. The test is administered 1:1 with a psychologist approved by the school. At Talent Prep, we work with students to help them become familiarized with the concepts assessed (see below) through play based activities. Instructors work with students 1:1 and in small play groups of 3 to 4 students for approximately 45-60 minutes per session. Every child develops at a different pace and may require different amounts of time to become familiar with the concepts.
Each child will receive a personalized curriculum and student progress is documented in every lesson.
In previous years, on average, Talent Prep students scored 149 on the Stanford Binet assessment.

The Five Factors of Cognitive Ability:
This year's cut off score for Hunter's Kindergarten Admission is 143! Children with this score or higher will be invited to participate in the second round in January. Out of 300 students who received a score of 143 or higher, 25 girls and 25 boys will selected to enter Kindergarten class of 2017. We are so excited to share that 3 of our students will have the opportunity to attend round two and we are still waiting to hear back from 2 more families who took the assessment recently. Our highest score this year is 151! Thank you for sharing all the news with us, we are proud of our students regardless of the outcome and thank everyone for the choosing Talent Prep.
